Whether it’s scenery, props, costumes, lighting and/or sound equipment, your choice of specialist mover is critical. See below a list of frequently asked questions.

• How do I get a exhibition, shows and events quote?

We offer our quotes free of charge without any obligation. To provide an accurate quote, we will need the following:

• A detailed packing list, with dimensions
• Your touring schedule indicating when and where the equipment is available to collect and/or deliver.

Please note: In most cases we will agree with you a transport budget based on current tariffs and rates of exchange. Doing it this way helps to protect both parties against freight rates changing, often without warning. Our helpful team will explain this to you and will be subject to our final confirmation.

Special requirements? Where possible, we will try to arrange a site visit to assess overall volume, packing requirements, access for our vehicles and whether you’ll need ramps or lifts.

• What documentation is required?

1. ATA Carnet
   We require a detailed itemised packing list in ATA Carnet format (see next FAQ for definition).
   In this document you need to provide a full description of each item.
   You also need to include dimensions of rolls of fabric or flooring and serial numbers of any electrical equipment, gross weights, values and the countries of origin.
2. Packing lists
   We will ask you to provide these to us (ideally in an Excel spreadsheet) so we can cross-check prior to submission to the Chamber of Commerce or the customs authorities.

• What is an ATA Carnet?
  This is an international customs document that permits the tax-free and duty-free temporary export and import of goods for up to one year. Make sure the countries you are shipping to follow this convention. If they do not then separate customs procedures apply.

• Will Anglo Pacific help me complete the documentation?
  Yes, Anglo Pacific will advise you and take care of all import/export documentation.
  This includes the preparation and submission of carnets to facilitate the ‘free’ movement of goods outside the EU. Acting on your behalf we can also lodge temporary import bonds, prepare and authenticate import/export licences and apply for restricted parking and driving permits, as required.

• What cartons and packing materials should we use?
  Anglo Pacific stock a wide range of export cartons and offer a full, on-site export packing service.
  We only use packing materials which we know from experience will keep your items safe during transit, paying special attention to delicate and unique items.
• Props and costumes are packed in sturdy cardboard skips.
• Sound and lighting equipment are packed in metal flight cases.
• Costumes can be lay flat or packed in our special wardrobe cartons.
• Delicate items of scenery should be bubble-wrapped.
• Poles and scaffolding should be bundled together.
• We can arrange hazardous goods packing where necessary.
